Magic Cabaret Casting 2026-2027
Following the four successes of Julia, Alice and Sophie at the Cabaret and the Cabaret Secret, Magic Cabaret is opening its casting call for its fifth creation. Once again this year, a troupe of around ten artists will be formed to inhabit and bring to life the stage of the Magic Mirrors from December 2026 to February 2027.
Last season, more than 15,000 spectators came to discover this original show across around fifty performances. Magic Cabaret is driven by the desire to offer everyone the poetic bubble they need at the end of the year, in the enchanting setting of a Magic Mirrors tent, guided by talented artists in the unique world of 1920s cabarets.
Performance venue
Once again this year, the Magic Mirror will return to its place within the Gare Maritime at Tour & Taxis in Brussels. The Magic Mirror is a tent made of wood and mirrors, featuring a central stage that allows for 360° performances.
Tour and number of dates
The show’s premiere will take place in early December 2026, and performances will run until mid-February 2027. Around fifty performances are planned during this period. Each week will include two days off and a maximum of nine performances.
Rehearsals
Collective rehearsals will begin in mid-November and will continue for three weeks until early December.

Artistic direction & disciplines sought
The show performed as part of Magic Cabaret is an original creation, produced by the teams of Namur en Mai and LaSemo and brought to life by a new cast each year. It is the artists, with their diverse and complementary personalities and disciplines, who create the true richness of the show. An overall narrative connects all the acts and places them within a coherent artistic vision, inviting spectators to disconnect, dream, and enter a world of imagination.
More than a troupe, we seek to create a family for the duration of a season. We aim for it to be composed of artists who not only have one (or several) personal performances to present, but who also wish to integrate their artistic practice into a collective whole—where each person’s creativity becomes a shared strength, and where some acts are performed collaboratively. Each artist will therefore perform their own act(s) while also taking part in other moments of the show to enrich the overall creation.
Application procedure
We will only review applications proposing circus acts (aerial, acrobatics, clowning, vaulting, etc.), performance acts, and magic.
CONDITIONS
The proposed acts must be ready and have a minimum duration of 4 minutes per act.
Each artist must be able to propose at least two acts.
A full video recording of the act is mandatory for the selection process (amateur or rehearsal videos are accepted).
Each artist must ensure that the technical conditions suit their needs before applying.
Group applications are accepted, provided that multiple acts can be proposed. In this case, please submit one application per company.
We will only review applications from artists available for the entire period.
Priority will be given to artists residing in Belgium, but we remain open to international artists. However, transport costs from outside Europe will not be financially covered.
We are only looking for acts suitable for a 360° stage.
Applications can be submitted until March 6, 2026.
